Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day, even though Brandon said it did not count for me. I had to remind him that even though Zoe is not born yet, I am still carrying her around with me 24/7. We went to church in the morning with all of Brandon's family and we got to hear Julia give her first talk. It was hard to hear with all of the kids making noise but I heard most of it and I am very proud of her. She is growing up to be such a smart, confident, and caring young woman. We went back to their house to eat some lunch and play Wii. It was delicious, thank you Sheldon!!! After that we went home to spend some time with my family. Unfortunately me and Brandon did not feel all that well (allergies), so when we got home we took naps for about 3 hours. Later that evening I played games with my mom and watched some tv with her, just relaxing. Zoe was very active while I was laying there, and so I told Brandon to hurry up and come feel. He got to feel her move for the first time, it was very exciting. She was still on the move so my mom get to feel her also! My mom had to wait a little longer, I kept asking "Did you feel that?" and she didn't and then all of a sudden Zoe kicked real hard and my mom's eyes got huge in surprise, and she said "wow I felt that one!", I just laughed and said "Happy Mother's Day".

Preggo Pics 4 1/2 months

Halfway There

I am 20 weeks today. 20 more to go. Everyone says how quickly it goes but I don't feel that way, I feel like time has drastically slowed down, haha. I'm sure once Zoe is here it will feel like time is moving way too fast, but I cannot wait until then. I am so excited to be a mommy, but it still sounds weird saying that. I have been feeling her at night for about 2 weeks now, and yesterday I could feel her moving around at work. I can't wait until Brandon can feel her. I had an appointment on Monday and I got to meet the doctor, she seems very nice. She told me I am still losing weight and that I needed to increase my food intake...what? I already feel like I eat all of the time, so I have been munching on fruits and veggies all day. I feel like a rabbit. Other than that she said everything else looks good and not to come back for 4 weeks.

It's A Girl!!!

So i went and had an ultrasound last night and found out I am having a girl!!!!! I am so excited and I can't wait to go shopping. Her name is Zoe Leilani Maughan. She is due to arrive in this world around mid to late August. The ultrasound technician said that she was very active (moving all about). I even got to see her yawn. I was suprised to find out she was a girl because I definitely thought it was a boy. Brandon knew it was a girl (or was hoping at least), he wants to have "Daddy's little girl". I am so glad that Brandon, my mom, and Lisa (my mother-in-law) all got to share in the experience with me last night. My little lady would not cooperate and turn over last night to get a picture of her spine, so I had to go back this morning for more pictures. Luckily, she was right where she needed to be. Now all I have to do is have patience to wait until August to see her and hold her.

Baby Updates

Yesterday I went to the doctor's and I got to hear the babies heartbeat for the first time. It is the most precious sound in the world, it makes your own heart skip a beat. I was so glad Brandon was with me to hear it, I haven't been able to hear it the last 2 appointments. I told Brandon he was good luck, he said "yeah the baby just loves me more and wanted to say "I'm here daddy"", he is too cute. He will be a wonderful daddy, I can already see his eyes light up when he sees other babies around. I just made my appointment to find out if it's a boy or girl!!!! I go March 24th at 7pm. I am sooooo excited!!! We have already agreed on a girl's name (Zoe Leilani) but Brandon won't agree with me on a boy's name. I want it to be Noah Paul, and he said he would think about it. Maybe it will just be a girl and we won't have to worry about it :)

For My Mommy-In-Law

I am starting this blog because my mother-in-law suggested I do so to keep everyone informed of mine and Brandon's lives. So I would first like to announce that we are PREGNANT!!!! I am sooo excited about being a mommy, I cannot wait. I am 14 weeks today, and morning sickness is slowly easing up. This pregnancy has not been easy for me. I was throwing up numerous times a day, and feeling nauseous all day. Poor Brandon said I was getting "boring" because I never have energy to do anything, and all I want to do when I get home is sleep. I will post more later I need to start work :)
